Lunch at Dixie Bones

Governor Warner had lunch today at one of his favorite spots, Dixie Bones BBQ in Woodbridge. Our deputy political director, Rich Culbert, was there and sent in this report:

He was greeted by a great crowd of over 100 supporters – some long-time friends and a lot of new ones.

After stopping to talk with every person in the restaurant Governor Warner was given a great introduction by Prince William Supervisor John Jenkins, who described how Governor Warner had been a consistent presence in Prince William County over the years and has worked tirelessly for all Virginians.

Governor Warner shared a few stories from his previous visits to Prince William County over the years, and encouraged the already enthusiastic group to get involved and work hard for the final month of the campaign. We were glad that Congressional candidate Gerry Connolly and Rep. Chris Van Hollen were able to join us at Dixie Bones to help get the crowd fired up for the November election.

After an exciting event Governor Warner did get a chance to go through the buffet line and enjoy some of Dixie Bones’s famous BBQ, beans, and sweet tea.
